Kia Ora! Today at Enrich we had to finish our Affective Domain Study. I was a bit nervous because I haven't been at Enrich for a while, so I thought I might not get it done *GASP*. I got my bottom into gear though, and I completed it all...... Well, almost all anyway. Darryn said that I've got another week to complete it, so I should get it finished by Week 7.
Also today we had another round of Patterns Workshops. We had the option to opt out and go into another one if we wanted to but I stayed with Katie, (big Katie, well not BIG Katie but teacher Katie) doing Art. We are now doing Abstract art. We get our piece of paper then put masking tape over it to create little triangles, squares etc. Then we paint the little pieces different colours. When you take the masking tape off, you're left with nice clean white lines, and shapes of colour. In our cozy little Art group there is Arnia, Sophia, Hannah C, Pippa, Emma and I. Oh yeah, and PIPPA IS BACK TO ENRICH!!!!! Yay, my life is complete! Hahahaha :)
Well, that brings me to the end of my blog post, but you will hear from me not next week, (because I'm going to Aussie) but the week after! Farewell.... Goodbye...... Bye...... I'm going.....I'm going.... I'm gone.....
Hi!! My name is Katie and I go to Enrich as well as going to Myross Bush. I'm a year 6 so that means it is my last year here,(oohhh). The four cornerstones are Talent Development/Passion project, Mental edge, Affective Domain and Concept Curriculum. Enrich gives me the chance to explore my Passion much, much more then I can at school. My Passion is painting. I can't wait to see whats up for grabs this year!!

MESSY MESSY MESSY SPLAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi ya! Well, for our Teacher Led Workshops today Katie, (not me Katie, I don't talk about myself, I mean Big Katie.... Teacher Katie) took us for Drip Painting. (I could be fancy and call it Abstract Expressionist, but..... I'm not fancy). So anyhow, in Drip Painting you just basically thwack your brush around with paint flying everywhere, but without touching the canvas. We weren't allowed to make a huge mess, (Ohhh man!) so instead we just did the exact same thing but making sure we weren't coating ourselves in paint..... Or the other person. You can also go on a website that lets you do the exact same thing, here's the link!

So have fun and GET SPLATTING!!!!

Term 4 WOOO HOOOOO
Three terms ago Darryn said to us, "Okay, this year will go fast, actually extremely fast because you're year sixes"
WOOOOOOOSH!
Three terms later I'm sitting here and I'm thinking, "Where did this year go?!?!?!" It's the first day back in Term 4, and what a fun-packed term it will be! I've got my Affective study that's got to be ready by week 4-5, and to be quite honest........... I'm still just getting my information sorted..... Shhhh, don't tell the teachers! But I'll work hard and hopefully achieve that to a reasonably high standard. Then I've also got my art exhibition coming up, so this is where the hard work comes in, and with hard work hopefully there will be masterpieces! The paintings I start doing now should be the ones I put into the exhibition but I've got some paintings that I've done in the past that I would really love to go into it.
We have also just had a Technology challenge. We got given heaps of newspaper and some cello-tape, to make a chair that would hold up a wooden frog. Now when I say heaps of newspaper I mean HEAPS! So first we got into groups of five. BUT....... There had to be at least one girl or one boy in each group. YAY! (Sarcasm). So Me, Myself and I went in a group with Eddie, Kavarn, Jordan and Callum. Then Hannah joined in after she finished guitar lessons. (Thank goodness I wasn't the only girl) But it turns out being in a group with boys isn't all that bad. We ended up winning so that's pretty cool, because it's the first time I've been in the winning group for a Tech Challenge.
So sadly I have to go.......... :( But I'll be back next week! And then I'll be away for the next two weeks, due to Labour Monday and me going to Australia :)........ Bye

Walking
Today I went for a little walk from Enrich, to the Warehouse, then to Briscoes, then to the city Art Gallery, then back to Enrich! So now my legs are tired..... Why did I go for a walk around town, you may ask? Well, as you know I'm putting together an Art exhibition at the Art Gallery, so Haley and I were out looking for frames for my paintings. We had a look at Briscoes and the Warehouse for frames, and then we went to the Art Gallery to book a wall. The exhibition will be at the start of December, and will be up for two months. I'd rather do it then, because I could have time to show my class and also friends and family. This would be better then having my art up for three weeks and trying to rush to go and see it!
So I shall "see" you next week...

Sunrise or Lily Pads...
Tache, Tache, Tache! Well, today I did Painting................. You know, the usual. But it was different painting today, not watercolour. We took a look at Claude Monet's paintings, but mostly Sunrise and Lilypads. Two of his most famous paintings.
I had already done Lily pads last year so I got to do another painting leading on from that. The reason why these paintings look so cool is basically because of the brush strokes and tache, (touch). We chose to do vertical lines for the water and horizontal lines for the sky or lily pads, (depending on what you chose). You also mix the paints on the canvas instead of the pallet......
Well, I've got to go home now, but I'll post again next week.....

(James Bond music please?)
Hey my super-stealthy stalkers! Yes, I went stalking today again.... BUT WAIT DON'T GO! I'm not as weird as you think.... Well, not entirely anyways. We walked around town, us five kids in stealth mode and our grumpy supervisor Nicola, (she's not THAT grumpy). We also went to the Library, wondering if we would find any interesting people there, and did we find any? Oh yes, most definitely! I was writing down notes when I found all the missing puzzle pieces to a story. A 'interesting' lady, with her nose stuck in a book, travelling shop-to-shop asking for plum juice. Don't ask me why.......
Until next week...... Stay St-healthy! (See what I did there?)

Stalker-walker
Hey friends, followers and complete strangers that I don't know! Thanks for reading my blog. This afternoon Pippa, Blake, Arnia, Sophia, Madison and I went on a little walk around the block, (Izzy wasn't here.) This was because we have chosen the Writer's Studio workshop. Now we get to spend the next four weeks with the amazing and talented.... Nicola Lynch!!!!!! We grabbed a pencil and got given a notebook, then started on our journey.
While we were walking we saw a middle-aged lady with what looked like a giant's coat on. Nicola jumped up-and-down and shouted "She's got a million Chihuahuas in her coat." (She didn't really jump up and down or shouted.) "And whenever the Chihuahuas have to go pee she has to kneel on the ground." We continued walking around letting our imagination take over. One of my funniest ideas was of a guy wearing short-shorts with a tight leather jacket and sunnies, so I put down 'old dude trying to be cool but not working'.
It was fun walking 'round town in the nice, hot sun, and hopefully I get to do it again!
See ya later! Katie.
