"Oh, Miss Heads...?"

Today I did a Student Led Workshop. I ran the workshop on Painting... (duh!) I was kind of bummed out at the start of the day because only Arnia was coming to my workshop. After Nicola showed us the Student Led Workshop board, (Nicola was our main teacher today because Darryn's girl was sick) some other people signed up to my workshop. I nearly jumped for joy, LITERALLY! Soon it was time to start the workshop. I started feeling a bit nervous, I mean what if no one really enjoyed it or liked it, or some people thought it was a bit random! I soon got over that though. I started taping there boards down... I thought I would only make them do back-ground washes because it would take too long to help them create a painting. I taped their boards down with masking tape into quarters. We did two techniques, wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry. We only used the three primary colours in water-colour. Yellow-Ochre, Ultramarine and Crimson. I had a lot of fun and I'm sooooooo happy because Pippa and Claudia are writing about painting!! Here is a few paintings and Pippa and Claudia's blog links!

I 'M AFRAID OF SPOONS!!!!

Sorry readers, I couldn't think of a way to start my blog post!! (FYI I am NOT afraid of spoons).
Haley came in this morning and helped me create yet another masterpiece! (laugh out loud). I am sooooooooooooo excited for Student Led Picks!!! Next week I'm running a workshop on Art.
I might teach them all about different washes. Washes are the backgrounds. There are Light to Dark washes, Gradient, Dark to Light and One colour washes. I love listening to the Drama group sing while I'm doing my Painting. Enrich is great!
Until next week...

Panting Painting Painting

"Painting... Painting... Painting.... All I can do is Paint... I love Painting...  Painting is how the world turns around... Painting is all I can talk about... LITERALLY" I said to myself as I started painting a picture. "Now you've got to use the whole brush, Katie, let it do its job," Haley told me. "Okay," I said. I am learning so many different techniques with Haley. She is sooooooooooooo helpful!!!! "So when do you think we would put the exhibition together??" I asked her. "Well," she said, "We need to have at least twenty paintings in the exhibit." Man.... I thought. Twenty!!!! I wonder if I could sell them?? "Haley," I asked. "Yes," she replied. "Do you think I might be able to sell some of my paintings??" "Well, you probably could but it all depends on whether or not someone wants to buy them," she said. YESS!!! I thought.... Hey.... What if I do sell them???? Then I could be RICH!! Some painters sell some paintings for hundreds of dollars. But you have to be pretty good at painting to sell some. That would be amazing if I could sell some. Well I'll just have to practise. You know what they say, ' Practise makes perfect'. I see how well I go next week...
